Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Asap Corporation (“we”) for ZippyText. By using the app you accept them.
No emergency calls
ZippyText cannot be used to contact emergency services. It will not reach 911 or any other emergency number. It is a texting app, not a phone line, and it is not a replacement for one. Always keep a way to call for help that does not depend on this app.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. You need a working mobile number to verify your account. One person, one free number , taking several is a reason for us to close the account.
Your number
The number assigned to you is leased from a telecoms carrier, not sold to you. You do not own it and you cannot transfer or port it away.
- On the free plan, a number is held for 30 days from the day it is assigned to you and is then released so it can return to circulation. Using the app does not extend that period. We notify you before the number is released.
- On ZippyText Plus your number stays reserved while you are subscribed.
- A released number may later be assigned to someone else. Do not use a ZippyText number where losing it would cause you real harm , as the only route to a bank account, for instance.
Using it properly
Do not use ZippyText to:
- send bulk, automated or unsolicited messages of any kind;
- harass, threaten, defraud or impersonate anyone;
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- send content that sexualises children, which we report to the authorities;
- evade a block, a ban, or a law enforcement order;
- resell access, share your account, or run a service on top of ours without our written agreement.
We may suspend or close an account that does these things, without notice where the conduct is serious.
Message limits
The free plan includes a small daily allowance and shows ads. ZippyText Plus includes a monthly allowance. Current figures are shown in the app and on our home page; we may change them, and will say so in the app before a reduction takes effect.
Delivery depends on carriers we do not control. We cannot guarantee that any particular message arrives, or that any particular service , a bank, a social network , will accept a ZippyText number for verification. Many do; some refuse numbers that are not tied to a traditional carrier line.
Subscriptions
ZippyText Plus is sold through Apple as an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, and your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
Manage or cancel it in Settings on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us.
Your content
Your messages are yours. You give us only the permission needed to carry, store and show them to you , nothing more, and nothing that survives you deleting them.
Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may close an account that breaks these terms, or stop offering the service, and we will give notice where we reasonably can.
No warranty, and limits on liability
ZippyText is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we disclaim implied warranties to the extent the law allows.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
